Manatee expedition boat

The new Manatee Amazon Explorer riverboat has been specially built for cruises in the Ecuadorian rainforest on the Rio Napo. You will visit Monkey Island,  Yasuni National Park and Biosphere Reserve, walk jungle trails and explore virgin rain forest.

Almost 500 years have passed since the discovery of this magnificent river system that flows through the world's largest primeval forest, containing 10% of all existing trees, 70% of all pharmaceutical compounds, and native Indians that live symbiotically with their unique ecosystem. This is the habitat of wildlife that is sure to be watching you - or vice versa - if you are lucky: freshwater dolphins, 500 species of birds, half a dozen species of monkeys, caimans, tapirs, 2500 species of butterflies.

The Manatee Amazon explorer offers several cruise itineraries:

• 4 night cruise - Pañacocha Lakes Systems
• 7 night cruise - Lagartococha River Dolphins
• Charters with custom routes

Activities include: Jungle hikes, canopy tower, birdwatching, Yasuni parrot lek, Caiman spotting, night walks in the jungle, dugout canoe rides, jungle camping, river tubing, visits to native communities.

Facilities

Rooms:

All cabins in the Manatee have picture windows and are located on the two upper decks with access to a corridor that offers a common balcony for viewing wildlife by the waters edge.

Each cabin is appointed with private bathrooms, a toilet, sink and shower with plenty fresh hot and cold running water. The cabins were designed taking into account all details to offer maximum comfort to all guests.

The rooms are spacious and offer amenities as air conditioning with climate control, a small closet and comfortable twin lower beds. The cabins have a modern design and are nicely decorated with an expedition style taste.
